Josh’s practice focuses on helping innovators, entrepreneurs, and companies of all sizes navigate issues at the intersection of technology and law. His background and concentration in intellectual property provides him with the ability to effectively evaluate complex technology issues involving trade secret, patent, and copyright law. While attending UC Hastings College of the Law, Josh was a senior digital editor for the Hastings Science and Technology Law Journal and also published a student comment analyzing whether copyrights existed in search engine results. In addition, he also received CALI and Witkin Awards for Excellence in the Intellectual Property Concentration seminar.
Prior to joining the firm, Josh clerked in U.C.S.F.’s Innovation, Technology & Alliances Office, and served as a research fellow for the Hastings Privacy & Technology Project and the UC Hastings Institute for Innovation Law.
Josh is a Bay Area native, former high school biology teacher with Teach For America, and a huge San Francisco and Michigan Wolverine sports fan. He lives in San Francisco with his wife.
